The shot trauma

Well I have lots to write and post about Leah's 4th birthday bash that lasted all weekend. But yesterday she had her 4 year check up. What trauma! First she doesn't really like new people at all (sorry to all of you!) but then add going to the doctor's where I assured her she wouldn't get any shots. Just her height (95 percentile), weight (75 percentile), blood pressure (just a hug on her arm) and then we would have to answer some of the docs questions about how she slept, what she ate, etc., etc. Then we find out that she should get the HepA vaccine. Whoa! I'm so glad Dan was with me because I could not have held down my suddenly wild-child. She was like a child possessed. It was crazy! How in the world do you calm, reason, comfort, restrain a very determined girl? I don't look forward to her next check up where I know more shots await. Sorry sweet Leah!!

Suspicions confirmed

We have thought for some time that Carly may
be sleeping on her stomach, even if we put her to
bed on her back. Well I went to get her up for her morning
nap and this is how I found her. Yep, on the belly snuggling
under her blanket and holding another blanket in her hand.
She ALWAYS has to hold on to something in each hand
to sleep. Kind of odd! When we travel we have to make
sure we take the bunny on her crib because that's one
of the things she always holds on too.

Time to Rock out the Show!

So Dan and Leah went to see the Hannah Montana movie concert at 8 am this morning! Leah was so excited (and Dan was too!) Leah LOVES Hannah and can sing almost all the songs. Must be because she listens to her CD every night when she goes to bed. She had a fun morning with Papa. After the show they played air hockey in the arcade-one of Leah's favorite games to play and then went to chick-fil-a for a late breakfast. Who would think she would be hungry after popcorn and Reece's pieces at the movie!

Getting ready to go.

Every rock star needs her shades!

What silly things are you doing Leah?
Preparing to "rock out the show" she says!
